Theo đó, thiết bị sau khi được kích hoạt có thể sử dụng bình thường như một chiếc iPhone quốc tế, không bất cứ lỗi nào. Thậm chí, người dùng cũng có thể thoải mái thay SIM từ các nhà mạng khác nhau mà không cần phải kích hoạt lại.
Chưa dừng lại ở đó, mới đây, cộng đồng những người dùng iPhone khóa mạng lại tiếp tục đón nhận một tin vui khác khi một nhóm lập trình viên tại Việt Nam đã tìm được cách kích hoạt và sử dụng thành công eSIM trên những mẫu máy này.
Trước đây, những chiếc iPhone lock sau khi được kích hoạt bằng mã ICCID thì gần như không còn hạn chế gì về tính năng so với phiên bản quốc tế, ngoại trừ việc máy không thể sử dụng eSIM. Tuy nhiên, điều này hiện đã có giải pháp khắc phục.
Chi phí để cài đặt eSIM trên những chiếc iPhone lock khoảng 500.000 đồng cho mỗi máy. Quá trình cài đặt sẽ diễn ra trong khoảng 5 phút. Theo như chia sẻ trên các hội nhóm, phương pháp này hiện có thể kích hoạt eSIM đối với cả 3 nhà mạng Vinaphone, Viettel và Mobifone.
Không lâu sau khi những chiếc iPhone lock được “hồi sinh” nhờ mã ICCID mới, một số thương lái đã bắt đầu tăng giá bán của loại máy này. Tùy theo từng phiên bản và dung lượng bộ nhớ, mức giá của chúng có thể bị “thổi” lên 1-2 triệu đồng so với trước đó.
Hiện tại, những chiếc iPhone XR hàng lock đang được một số cửa hàng chào bán với mức giá khoảng 7,5 triệu đồng cho phiên bản 64 GB bộ nhớ trong. Nếu muốn khắc phục toàn bộ lỗi và sử dụng cả eSIM, người dùng sẽ phải bỏ ra tổng chi phí hơn 8 triệu đồng.
Trong khi đó, phiên bản quốc tế của chiếc iPhone XR 64 GB hàng qua sử dụng đang được các cửa hàng chào bán với mức giá khoảng 9 triệu đồng. Theo nhận định từ một số chủ cửa hàng, mức chênh lệch này là quá ít, người dùng không nên chọn mua máy khóa mạng.
“So với máy lock, giá bán của phiên bản quốc tế hiện chỉ chênh lệch chưa tới 1 triệu đồng. Trong khi đó, máy quốc tế mang lại sự ổn định và an toàn hơn hẳn trong quá trình sử dụng lâu dài”, ông Minh Đức, đại diện truyền thông một cửa hàng kinh doanh điện thoại tại Thái Hà, Hà Nội chia sẻ.

Chưa dừng lại ở đó, việc những chiếc iPhone lock có thể sử dụng toàn bộ tính năng như máy quốc tế cũng khiến cho không ít người dùng cảm thấy lo ngại về tình trạng lừa đảo có thể xuất hiện trở lại.
Trước đây, một số gian thương đã tận dụng cơ hội để biến máy khóa mạng thành phiên bản quốc tế bằng cách câu SIM ghép trực tiếp vào bo mạch chủ trên những chiếc iPhone lock. Từ đó, họ có thể bán ra máy lock với giá của hàng quốc tế.
Nếu chỉ kiểm tra về hình thức bên ngoài cũng như các tính năng cơ bản của máy, người dùng sẽ rất khó để phát hiện ra chiếc iPhone đó có phải máy giả quốc tế hay không. Trong quá khứ, không ít người dùng đã rơi vào cái bẫy này và mất đi số tiền vài triệu đồng.
Để có thể kiểm tra chính xác xem đó có phải máy lock hay không, người dùng cần thực hiện một số bước sau: truy cập vào phần Cài đặt (Setting) → Cài đặt chung (General) → Đặt lại (Reset) → Xóa tất cả nội dung và cài đặt (Erase all content and setting). Sau khi khởi động lại thành công, nếu đó là máy giả quốc tế, thiết bị sẽ yêu cầu kích hoạt lại.
