Thay vì phải đổi mới (thường máy đổi trả) như trước đây, iPhone khi bị sự cố tại Việt Nam sẽ được áp dụng chính sách bảo hành mới từ Apple.
Theo chính sách mới của Apple, kể từ ngày 23/4/2021, người dùng iPhone tại Việt Nam khi gặp sự cố có thể mang máy đến các trung tâm bảo hành ủy quyền của Apple (AASP) để hưởng chính sách bảo hành mới, đó là chúng sẽ được kiểm tra và thay thế linh kiện gặp sự cố mà không phải đổi máy như trước đây. Các mẫu iPhone được áp dụng thuộc iPhone 12 series, bao gồm iPhone 12 mini, 12, 12 Pro và 12 Pro Max.

Một số cửa hàng đại lý ủy quyền của Apple tại Việt Nam cho thấy nhà sản xuất iPhone đã thông báo về chính sách bảo hành mới. Cụ thể, chính sách mới yêu cầu các sản phẩm bảo hành tại AASP sẽ được thay thế linh kiện gặp sự cố như bảng mạch, Face ID và mặt lưng thay vì đổi mới toàn bộ sản phẩm. Tùy quyết định của hãng mà thiết bị có thể được đổi mới nếu có bộ phận không thể sửa chữa hoặc thay thế.
Được biết, chính sách bảo hành mới của Apple dành cho iPhone 12 series được đưa ra từ tháng 2/2021. Với các mô tả trong chính sách, các AASP có thể kiểm tra và thay thế linh kiện bị hỏng như bảng mạch, Face ID và mặt lưng… trên máy mà không cần thay thế toàn bộ sản phẩm.
Với chính sách bảo hành mới của mình, Apple hy vọng có thể giảm lượng khí thải carbon ra môi trường do cắt giảm số lượng thiết bị điện tử dư thừa. Bên cạnh đó, người dùng khi đi bảo hành sẽ không phải đợi vài ngày để đổi máy mới bởi các kỹ thuật viên trong AASP hoàn toàn có thể xử lý các vấn đề nhanh chóng hơn.
